The crews are loving the warm weather and have been making good progress outside. They’ve poured concrete outside the materials receiving area, worked on wrapping up the Care Center courtyard and have been continuing their work on the main entrance. Inside they have been finishing up Care Center 3, working on the kitchen area. The Lab and Radiology areas have seen a flurry of construction workers. In the new hallway between the clinic and hospital, they have heat and paint.
In recent weeks, we’ve had up to 75 construction workers on site. With the sudden on set of winter, much focus has been paid to our exterior work. Crews have been busy putting siding up on the 300 wing of the Care Center, new flag pole and parking lot light poles are installed, blankets have been laid where future side walks are to be installed, keeping the ground from freezing and the entry area is now water tight. Inside progress is being made on the latest Care Center Wing to paint the new door frames, install pass-through, tile the bathrooms and install low voltage in the hallways. Progress continues on the new lab, radiology, mammography and the hallway between the clinic and hospital.
Have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving !
There is always a scurry of exterior work with the first forecast of snow. Outside crews have been busy working on the concrete slabs, curbs & gutter. On the Care Center side they have been working on the future secure courtyard. Inside the crews have started the finishing touches on the curved hallway connecting the clinic to the hospital by putting up the vapor barrier and sheetrock.
The crew is trying to race the snow by getting as much done outside as possible before winter hits.
The front entrance’s canopy is taking shape!
Along with progress on the front entrance, many new areas have studs that are beginning to outline what Radiology, Resident rooms and a new lab will look like.
Here are before and after pictures of the Pharmacy. Pharmacist DeeDee LaRock-Muggley has moved a lot of the medications over a three-day period. Outside, the Care Center 300 wing is coming along with shingles and weather barriers and hardpan in the inside.
The crews are working hard on the outside of the building before the weather turns cold. On the inside, areas are being cleared out and getting prepared to become new wings of the hospital.
