Happy New Year to all and hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday. This year’s Chinese New Year is the year of the rooster, being the sign of dawn and awakening, triumph and success can only be achieved at the price of hard work and patience in 2017. We are looking forward to a year of success in completing the new additions and remodeling. Crews are close to finishing up the new kitchen and turning over to the CCNSHCC staff. Progress continues on the new hospital addition. The crews are painting the metal doorways and rooms.
Unlike last year at this time, the construction crews are busy working inside. The kitchen is almost ready for use. The new dishwasher has been installed and we expect the kitchen to be open after the first of the New Year. The new hallway corridor continues to receive it’s finishes – wall protectors, paint, ceiling tiles and should also be open after the first of the year. The new patient rooms have been sheet rocked, taped and sanded and will be ready for paint. The old activity room floor has been excavated and roughed in with new underground piping for the future residence spa. The crews continue work on the new roof trusses over the future Care center Resident’s kitchen and dining room.
Have a safe and Merry Christmas !
Finishing work continues on the kitchen and serving area; tiling, acoustical ceilings, sheetrock ceiling features, recessed lights. The beauty shop is progressing in the Care Center. New trusses over the Care Center household kitchens are being placed. The old roof is being demolished and trusses for the new one (different height) are being installed.
All over the Care Center and Hospital, new hallways are close to completion and making ready for the old hallways to be demolished and renovated. The crews are making good progress on the future hallway connecting the hospital to the new Care Center entrance. The kitchen area continues to receive it’s finishes. On the northwest side of the hospital addition, they continue to put up sheetrock, taping and painting – hallways and rooms. As old space is demolished the crews are standing up new studs for more new rooms. The new 200 Care Center Wing is coming along, studs are up, you can tell where rooms will be located and MEP rough-ins are moving along.
