We have windows !

Always a major milestone on projects; when the windows are installed.  The recently installed windows on both the north and south Care Center additions add a nice touch to the building an give people a better grasp of what the final product will look like.  Inside the electrical room the panel covers are installed.  We’ve included some demolition / remodel pictures to portray what a challenge this part of the project can be.  But don’t worry it will be transitioned to a nice, new area.

It’s official….spring is here….at least on the calendar

The first day of spring has come and gone, but we’re still enjoying winter; snow and cold.  The crews continue to hang sheetrock, put up metal studs, run duct work, grout the showers and hook up the electrical panels.  According to our Superintendent, they’ll be receiving the windows this week and we’ll start taping the sheetrock.  Good thing the windows are coming, because we hear the employees are drawing their own outside scenes on the future window openings.

What is it ? Executive Suites or Mechanical Room

It was brought to our attention that there has been much conversation about the “Room with a View” above the Care Center.  In fact, the Boldt crane was on-site to lift some equipment into the new space.  Drum roll….it was not in fact desks, but mechanical / hvac equipment for the new mechanical room.  Inside the south Care Center addition, crews are putting up sheetrock.  Holden/Agate Electric is busy hooking up the generators to the automatic switches and installing new switchboards and panels in the electrical room.

Happy Groundhogs Day !

Well, we’re halfway thru winter and depending on what time you came outside this morning, you may or may not have seen your shadow.  To be on the safe side, we should all plan on at least six more weeks of winter and hope for the best !  Inside the south Care Center addition, the sheetmetal crews are busy installing duct work and the electricians are running their receptacles and light switches.

Week ending January 23rd, 2016 progress

Inside the south side Care Center, the crews continue to build out with metal studs.  They had a walk through with the care teams in an early mock-up of a resident room to see where the resident’s bed will go (mock-up was a construction job site box) and the future shower, sink and toilets.  On the north side, crews were setting the wooden roof trusses.  Where one of the old boilers was, a new structural steel mezzanine is in place where the transformers sit with conduits and wiring below in a crawl space.
