A semi carrying an 18,000 gallon LP tank showed up on site today. Using two Boldt cranes, we were able to lift the 45,000 pound tank and set onto the support saddles. The crane pick took less then 15 minutes.
A lot is happening on-site. Inside the mechanical room, the concrete pads for the three new boilers were poured and the boilers set in place. The electricians have run a number of conduits and stubbed up into the mechanical room. The BOLDT crane has arrived on site to set the wooden roof trusses for the Care Center additions. The earthwork crews continued to backfill both the north and south side Care Center additions.
Seems like a shame, but we are covering up our new foundations for the Care Center or in construction we call it backfilling.
The entrance you have been using to visit the Care Center will be closed for one week starting November 2nd to allow for utility construction. Please park by the Emergency Room entrance and use that door or the Clinic entrance to enter the building. Signs will be posted to direct you to the Care Center. The ER entrance will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM and the Clinic entrance is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call Rory Smith 387/3299, Maintenance; Helena Blake 387/3282, Care Center DON; or Kimber Wraalstad 387/3260, Administrator.
The earthwork and rock blasting crews continue to prepare the site behind the hospital for the new patient wing; removing rock, moving earth and digging for the buildings new foundations.
The concrete crews were in full swing last week forming and pouring the concrete foundations for the new Care Center additions. The crews were tying rebar, forming up the concrete panels, Thoreson was delivering concrete and Econ-Placer was helping move the concrete from the trucks to the forms.
The week of October 5th rock blasting will be completed on the north side for the new Care Center and Hospital Additions. The weeks of October 5th and 12th the concrete footings/foundation walls will continue on the south and start on the north. Excavation for foundations will continue. Site utilities will start.
The site work crew has started to blast rock on the backside of the hospital for the new patient wing addition. See video.
